Waterfalls, lakes and Hot springs of Wum municipality.

Menchum Falls, Bangwe Village, Wum council area.
Menchum Falls; the pride of the municipality
After rain, the short ride to the precipitous Menchum falls will take you past a number of lakes into the Bangwe village. There is no gain say that Wum municipality is the touristic hub of Menchum Division since most of the touristic sites are lodged in Wum central subdivision, the Divisional headquarters. This divisional headquarter is hosted by Wum council. The council for the past years under  Dighambong Anthony Mvo, is doing all what she can to promote tourism this through a series of activities varying from cultural to touristic. The Famous Menchum falls shall soon receive a special touch, with the construction of boucarous to enable tourists, students on field trips and other passerby to have their snacks while watching at the marvels of nature. This will not only boost the tourism sector of our country, but generate some revenue for our council so as to enable the council forge ahead and thus, emerging by 2035 as our illustrious head of state, President Paul Biya, dreams it. This will only be possible if we all take part in the developmental vision of Wum council and by putting all hands on deck.

From lakes, falls, rocks and ancient caves, Wum municipality is Menchum division in miniature. The visitor is held spell bound at the breath taking natural vegetation, community forests with rare species of birds, animals and trees, mountainous hills, owe inspiring valleys, the meandering Menchum river, the sand quarries and above all the welcoming and hospitable people of the municipality who hold strongly to their cultural values, an added value to the tourism sector. A series of venerated masquerades, traditional dances that keep you dancing and dancing and dancing. The council has not left anybody out as far as this drive for development is concerned. Persons living with disability have come on board so that together, we all can promote a disability inclusive development through the putting in place of a disability friendly environment, suitable for all.
