MAYOR DIGHAMBONG ANTHONY OF WUM COUNCIL PRAISED FOR MAIDEN ARTS AND CRAFTS EXHIBITION

Mayor Dighambong Anthony assuring craft people of a yearly exhibition
The 2017 Wum central sub-divisional maiden arts and craft exhibition took place at the Wum Town Hall with the specific objective to promote the exhibition of decorative arts alongside fine arts. This maiden exhibition, according to the Divisional delegate of small and medium size enterprises, has recorded a success and ponders on how the divisional exhibition will look like. He used the opportunity to call on the exhibitors to ameliorate the quality of their products and more especially work on the trace-ability of these products by choosing a label for them. The Mayor of Wum council, Dighambong Anthony Mvo assured the craft people that such events will henceforth hold annually at the Wum Council Hall.

"We desired first of all to give opportunity to the designer and craftsman to exhibit their work to the public for its artistic interest and thus to assert the claims of decorative art and handicraft to attention equally with the painters of the municipality, hitherto almost exclusively associated with the term art in the public mind."Added the Landlord of Wum municipality.
