LIVESTOCK BEST PRACTICES AWARDS IN WUM MUNICIPALITY


Livestock farmers of Wum municipality, have received prizes for best livestock practices, for the year 2017. The ceremony that was chaired by the Lord Mayor of Wum Council Mr. Dighambong Anthony Mvo, brought together poultry farmers and cattle rearers, with best practices. The award of prizes is a giant stride in the decentralization process, as the Ministry of Livestock, fisheries and animal industries, put the sum of CFA one million, for this exercise and this on a yearly basis.
This year (2017), the following poultry farmers and cattle rearers, emerged winners in their category.

They had a wheel barrow each, knapsack sprayers, and barbwires. 

POULRTY FARMING

They each had knapsack sprayers, 10L drinkers, and rain boots and a spade for the first  
It was an opportunity, for the Lord Mayor to call for collaboration between farmers and grazers so as to end the perennial farmers-grazers conflicts. The Sub-Divisional Delegate of MINEPIA for Wum subdivision Asengue Ernest Nfor, while congratulating the farmers and the rearers, called on them to judiciously use the prizes for the improvement of livestock in the sub division
